WHAT IS LOVE?
Yesterday, I stated that one of the major objectives that an individual’s courtship or marriage should achieve, among many other objectives, is understanding how one’s marital partner is wired to receive and give love so as to be able to achieve a lasting, romantic, and happily ever after marriage.
In fairness, this goal might be difficult to achieve if one does not have a clear understanding of what love is not and what love is. The previous teaching was centered on what love is not; today, what love is will be the ball to roll by God’s grace.
Based on the outcome of my experiences and exposition at the Sure Hope Counseling Clinic, I hereby define love as a consistent force of attraction that is potent enough to stir commitment in a person towards another in a romantic or an affectionate manner.
However, each of the components of this definition shall be discussed as this month gradually unfolds.
Is your love for your partner consistent over the years? If not, why not?
