The next skills in relation to thinking skill that we would be looking into today is goal setting skill. However, goal is an idea of a future or a desired result that a person envisions, has plans for and commits himself/ herself to achieve. When goals are achieved, self-perception is hereby improved which in turn impacts on a person mental wellness positively and ensures marital bliss.

Essentially the goal setting theory states that; there is positive linear relationship between specific high goal and task performance. This means that, it is not enough to have goals or dreams, positive actions has to be engaged in order to achieve such goals. Nevertheless, a goal will remain a beautiful wish until it is S.M.A.R.T.

Being S.M.A.R.T means being

S – Specific

M – Measurable

A – Achievable

R – Realistic

T – Time frame

It is important to note that without a specified time frame a wish or dream never become a goal.
