Mrs. Tosin Togun counseling parents at Glorious Kings Palace Academy located at Agbowo Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria on 22nd November 2019.
During the session, she emphasized the need for parents to be more actively involved in teaching their kids about the relevant issues pertaining to the child’s sexuality. Parents should not be shy or timid to raise topics that will be beneficial to the child when it comes to their sexuality.
Mrs. Togun reiterated that parents should educate their child about each child’s sexuality at every age as they grow to avoid misconceptions, wrong and superstitious teachings from outsiders, as well as information stemming from ignorant teachers.
She further explained to parents the relevant sexuality information and approach appropriate to the age of each child. To overcome any difficulty in addressing this pertinent issue among parents, her book “Puberty and Sexuality Management in Boys and Girls” was recommended to help parents navigate the terrain of having these discussions with their children.
