Yesterday, we established the fact that commitment is the ability and the decision to pay the price that is required to make a marital relationship work as expected. Meaning that every marital relationship has a unique price tag that must be paid by the parties involved in it for such a relationship to work as designed by God.
The price tag is unique because it varies from person to person due to differences in an individual’s exposure, experiences, background, location, association, temperament, or personality, and this is more reason you are not acting in wisdom when you compare your marital relationship with another because the two of you that make up your marital relationship are different from the other two people who make up another marital relationship, and what commitment is to each of you differs.
However, the users of this quote must seek to have knowledge of what commitment is to him or her and what it means to his or her marital partner so as to have an understanding of how well they can both respond to love and find it more convenient to foster love for one another as their marital journey progresses.
