Having said a lot about stress management skill, which is the first skill we considered among the self-awareness skills, the next to be reflected on is emotional management skill. When a person is able to regulate his or her emotion in any given circumstance, he or she seems to gain control over the situation, becomes more confident, and, as a result, thinks more positively about himself or herself.
However, the concept of emotions needs to be clearly understood so as to be maximized. Oxford Language defines emotion as a strong feeling deriving from one’s circumstances, mood, or relationship with others. However, the impacts of emotions on human relationships could either be positive or negative, depending on how they are regulated and maximized.
