“Excuse me” is another magic word that enhances interpersonal effectiveness. It is usually employed to secure the attention of a person before presenting a request or asking for permission. Where it is well used in a friendly tone, feedback is usually favorable as requests are sure to be granted.
“Excuse me” is a word that is mostly central to getting people’s attention. Everyone desires that their attention be first secured before requests are dumped on them, and when this magic word is consistently employed in our interpersonal relationships, we are prone to frequently getting people committed to meeting our needs and favorably granting our requests, and our partner is not exclusive.
