The last and yet to be discussed among the four temperaments identified by Tim Lahaye is phlegmatic, and that will be our focus of discussion for the next few days as the month gradually runs to an end.
The phlegmatic spouses are peaceful personified, relaxed, easy going, consistent, kind, sympathetic, witty, quiet, collected, cool, and calm. However, peace is the hallmark of the phlegmatic trait.
However peaceful the phlegmatic spouses appear on the outside, they have a lot of internal conflict that makes them prone to emotions that could have a negative impact on them if not guided. Such emotions are fear, worry, and shyness, which otherwise make them indecisive, selfish, and shy away from responsibilities.
Often times, they are unenthusiastic, compromising, and self-righteous; their spouse needs to know that a phlegmatic can trade all but for his peace and comfort.
