The World Health Organization defines ‘life skills’ as a set of psychosocial and interpersonal abilities that enable people to make informed decisions, solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, empathize with others, and manage their lives in a healthy and productive way.
In addition, life skills guide personal actions, interactions with others, and efforts to improve the surrounding environment for healthy living. Consequently, they provide the information needed to empower individuals to make informed decisions.
