All through January, the subject of understanding the concept of parenting was in view, and we defined the acronyms of P.A.R.E.N.T. as Patient-Admirer-Realistic-Enduring-Nearest-Teacher. Having taught on what the Lord expected of us as parents through the first four letters of the acronyms, going forward we will be looking at N-nearest, which suggests that parents are the first contacts that a child has immediately after birth, and this continues until the child begins preparatory school.
It has been observed through research that the number of hours that children spend at home is higher than what they spend in school, mostly between the ages of 0 and 12. Hence, parents are expected to be the nearest person who could touch their children emotionally, psychologically, physically, spiritually, and even cognitively.
