Yesterday, it was said that the number of hours that children spend at home is higher than what they spend in school, especially within the age range of 0 and 12 years; hence, parents are expected to be the nearest person(s) who could torch their children emotionally, psychologically, physically, spiritually, and cognitively.
In fairness, parents are always touching their children by virtue of their position, but the impact of these touches can either be positive or negative, depending on the type of action taken or neglected at a time. A nearest parent is a timely parent who is prompt at decision-making; my mother of a blessed memory used to say that there is always a slim chance between life and death. How near are you to your child (ren)?
